Artist Commentary: "Ecce homo!", declares Pontius Pilate to the crowds in Jerusalem, after having Jesus flogged. "Behold the man." Look at this man. See his degradation, his utter humiliation. He accepted this for us. See beneath the horror, see beneath the attempt by human and diabolic malice to negate his humanity (and his divinity). Seek him when you, too, must suffer. He is with you.
