Artist Commentary: A storm is approaching, yet life goes on in the absence of the father of the family. The mother brings in the laundry while the children enjoy a few last minutes of play. It is the moment before they look up and realize that the father is returning. Soon they will be reunited and enter together the sanctuary of their home.
