Artist Commentary: "When you see these things begin to happen, stand erect and hold your heads high, for your deliverance is near at hand..." These words of Jesus in the 21st chapter of St. Luke's Gospel refer to the events immediately preceding the Coming of the Son of Man, his return in glory. So too it applies to all disasterous situations where it appears that human hope seems lost. We must look up, and reach up, for rescue is near at hand.
